Your scarf
How the finder decides
- How you wear it and the season set the style. Around the neck in cold weather points to a wool knit with ties; on the hair in summer to silk or satin; over the shoulders in the cold to a wool or cashmere shawl.
- Each style comes with a knot. The link takes you straight to that method in the tying guide.
- Buy or make. Buy gives searches. Knit or crochet sends you to our pattern guides and suggests a yarn weight for the season.
- Budget sets the names to search. Tiers follow the list prices The Zoe Report printed in December 2025: Free People at the value end; Almina Concept and TBCo in the middle; Soft Goat, & Daughter and Suzie Kondi as investment pieces. These are names to search, not ranked picks.

Questions people ask
Are the finder suggestions tested scarves?
No. The finder suggests a style, a knot and names to search, built from what each fiber and size suits. We have not tested the scarves. Check the size, fiber content and reviews on any listing.
Why does it suggest a style instead of one scarf?
Stock and colors change quickly, and handmade pieces sell out. A style plus a size and fiber rule travels better than one listing that may be gone next week.
I want to knit one but I am a beginner. Which pattern?
Choose a pattern that starts at the point with a few stitches and increases every row, in a smooth worsted or chunky yarn. The free Easiest Triangle on Ravelry is written that way.
